1AVB-10. Aircraft Camouflage and Markings 1907-1954.
Written and compiled by Bruce Robertson; first published in 1956, fourth revised printing 1961 by The Garden City Press Limited, Letchworth, Herts, England. 8-1/2-inch wide x 11-1/8-inch high, green hard covers with gold impressed lettering on binding. 233 pages of text, including hundreds of black & white, as well as, colored photos, full color illustrated plates, line drawings and charts providing a representative survey of markings applicable to the many countries represented and their significance. This revised edition also contains R.A.F. Unit Code Letters, British service aircraft serial number allocations and every R.A.F. Squadron badge authorized up to 1955, as well as certain flying units and Commonwealth Air Force Squadrons; no less than 394 squadron badges are represented. The covers exhibit only the slightest sign of age, very light warping and very insignificant wear from light handling; the binding is tight; the pages are in excellent condition. The book comes with a tattered and torn dust jacket that is only partially intact and has large pieces missing. A comprehensive work for the military historian, researcher or modeler.
