1W2HB-1. The Killing of Corporal
Kunze. By Wilma Parnell, with Robert Taber. First edition,
copyright 1981 by Wilma Parnell. 6-1/4-inch wide x 9-1/4-inch high format,
hard covers with illustrated dust jacket. 188 pages with several
photographs. A true story of the killing of a German soldier, in an
American prisoner of war camp, in Oklahoma, by an SS incited and
directed mob. A United States Army investigation was conducted by a. then,
little known Major named Leon Jaworski who, in later years, was to play a
key roll in the Watergate investigation. The dust cover is in very good
condition exhibiting very light surface soil from handling, as well as
minor shelf wear, the paper in the area of the spine is faded; there is a
spot of messing paper on the upper right corner where there was once a
price tag; there are no rips, tears or other damage. The
exterior covers, binding and interior pages are all excellent+ and in like
new condition. The previous owner has inscribed and signed his name on the

First edition May 1946, copyright 1946 by The Infantry journal,
Inc. Approximately 5-3/4-inch wide x 8-3/8inch high format, hard dark blue
covers with gold impressed Marine Corp eagle, globe & anchor logo
design on front. 256 pages of text; illustrated inside covers and
flyleaves; thirteen pages of illustrated maps at the end of the book;
appendix with battle casualties, list of campaigns and FMF pacific
organization list. The book presents a short and concise history of USMC
operations in the Pacific Theatre Of Operations during WW2. A very good
historical overview. Light signs of handling and use. The blue, lightly
textured covers are in Vg condition, no actual soil; the corners are
lightly bumped and exhibit some light wear to the fabric. The gold eagle,
globe & anchor design, on the front, is bright and near 100% intact.
The gold lettering on the spine has darkened over the years and the top
and bottom edge is lightly worn. The interior pages are excellent; some
have minor and insignificant foxing spots. The flyleaf, in the back of the
book, is separating from the inside of the back cover. Overall Vg. $39.00

worn and tattered but still quite sound. Dust jacket has been repaired, on the
inside, where necessary, with archival
document repair tape to prevent further deterioration. Flyleaf browning from storage. Covers very sound, interior pages excellent. Used,

Eric Lefevre, Copyright After The Battle Magazine 1983. 8-1/2-inch wide x
12-inch high format, hard covers with illustrated dust jacket. 212 pages,
hundreds of black & white photos including illustrations and charts
supported by descriptive text. The author has attempted, quite
successfully, to cover the involvement of German Panzers in Normandy, in
the now familiar, “then and now” format. The author has searched out
photographs from public and private sources, including well-known and
obscure source photos, then comparing the exact spot, as it is now, with
the photo taken during the war. Covers are in excellent condition with
just slight corner wear and bumps; the dust jacket exhibits very light age
from handling and storage; it’s slightly worn and has very minor chips
along the top and bottom edges. The pages are in excellent condition. Vg+.

Edition, by Jean Paul Pallud, Copyright After The Battle Magazine 1984. 8-1/2-inch wide x 12-inch high x nearly 2-inches
thick, oversize format, hard covers with illustrated dust jacket. 532 pages, 1260 black &
white photos including illustrations and charts as well as, 31 maps,
supported by descriptive text. The author has attempted, quite
successfully, to cover the, “Battle Of The Bulge,” in the now
familiar, “then and now” format. The author has searched out battle
scenes and events through the use of photographs from public and private
sources, including well-known and obscure source photos, as well as frame
by frame of vintage movies, compiling them into a scene-by-scene battle
view of the Battle of the Bulge; then comparing the exact spot, as it is
now, with the photo taken during the war. Covers are in excellent+
condition; the dust jacket exhibits very light age from handling and
storage; the jacket has a small tear on the fold at the top binding. The
pages are in excellent condition with only a hint of soil from handling.

the period. In General a Naval Aviators touching story of ferocious
combat, true love and miraculous survival in WW2. One minor and

author, a decorated member of the 10th Mountain Division in
WW2, offers a full account of this most unique unit and its contribution
in WW2 from November 1943 through December 1945. There have been few full
accounts of the 10th Mountain Division until "Green Cognac."

Volturno, 9 September to 6 October 1943. American Forces in Action Series,
by the Historical Division, War Department, Washington, D.C. First issued
26 August 1944, printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office 1945. 9-in
x 5-7/8in, illustrated paper covers, 95 pages many photographs, several
illustrations and several fold out maps, as well as, a small section on
related insignia. An account of the American Forces who landed on the
beaches of the Gulf of Salerno. Originally this series was designed for
military personnel only, primarily for wounded soldiers in hospitals to
tell them the military story of the campaigns and battles in which they
served. With the cessation of hostilities These books were released as a
public document. An excellent view American action at Salerno.
Covers lightly aged and soiled from handling, one small tear upper right
hand corner of front cover, slightly smaller one on back cover. Slight
yellowing to edges of pages, upper corners, of some pages, dog-eared and
chipped from age and handling. Fold-outs excellent. Overall Vg. $25.00

Provisional) February to May 1944. American Forces in Action Series, by
the Historical Division, War Department, Washington, D.C. First issued 4
June 1945, printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office. 9-1/4in x
5-7/8in, illustrated paper covers, 115 pages many photographs, many maps,
one fold out map and a section on casualties and decorations. Nice picture
of theatre made patch. An account of the operations of the 5307th
Composite Unit, Provisional in North Burma. Combat narrative is based
mainly on interviews by the unit historian as the mule, carrying the units
limited records and maps, took a direct hit by Japanese artillery, as well
as, heavy rains made preservation or paper virtually impossible. Also the
units intelligence officer was killed and his records were washed away
before they could be located. An interesting view of the WW2
accomplishments of General Merrill's Marauders. Originally
this series was designed for military personnel only, primarily for
wounded soldiers in hospitals to tell them the military story of the
campaigns and battles in which they served. With the cessation of

as well as, descriptive historical text, skillfully covering the birth of
the SS, to its final judgment. The dust jacket is in near excellent condition
exhibiting light signs of wear from light handling and shelf wear, as well
as a short tear on the bottom front edge. The
book shows very minor signs of age, use and wear; near excellent condition

illustrated hard covers, 672 pages. Over one thousand black
and white photographs, mostly previously unpublished, accompanied
by a brief historical text recording FJR3’s wartime activities in
Crete, Africa, Italy and Russia from 1941 to 1945. An in-depth study
with both English and German text. An excellent photographic history of
one of Germany’s elite Airborne Battalions. The book may have been
opened a few times. Like new.

Top Historian). Approximately 5-3/4-inch wide x 8-3/4inch high
format, hard cream-color/greenish covers. 335 pages of text analyzing
the 1940 collapse of the west, was it avoidable? Could Africa have been
cleared in 1941? Was Russia close to defeat? Could Hitler have avoided
defeat after Salingrad? Could Europe survive another war? The shadow of
war with Russia; as well as many questions of post war Europe and the
problems of tomorrow. Very professional and historically informative
writing. Light signs of handling and use. The covers have heavy signs of
foxing and storage moisture; the corners are lightly bumped and exhibit
some light wear to the fabric. The spine exhibits an overall
“browning” from age, the lettering is faded and the fabric on the
top and bottom edge is lightly worn. The interior pages are near
excellent with light yellowing. The flyleaf, in the front of the book,
is separating from the front cover and the inside first page. The
flyleaf and inside first page are stamped with the original owners name,
