5-7/8-inch wide x 9-3/4-inch high, 10 page paper catalog listing
estimated quantities of parts that would be required by Ordnance Units,
to maintain 100-mortars and mounts for a period of 12 months within a
Theatre of Operations and was intended to be inserted into a larger
Ordnance catalog to upgrade information. The catalog lists the WW2 stock
number, the WW2 piece marking or drawing number, the nomenclature, as
well as a photo/illustration of the mortar and mount. This catalog was
distributed to Ordnance Organizations as an addendum to existing
information and was updated at regular intervals. A very small, but
extremely handy reference, as it contains the WW2 numbers of individual
components, which makes exact identification of a specific part
possible. The interior pages are in near excellent condition, the
exterior paper pages exhibit insignificant soil with light to moderate
signs of handling, as well as some yellowing from storage; the corners
are very lightly dog-eared and there is extremely light wear along the
outside edges. Included with this catalog is an updated title page, (one
page), dated 29 May 1944, which includes updated information as of that
date; this page is yellowed from age and quite dog-eared and ragged
along its top and right hand edge; this single page would rate about
Vg-. The reddish color, seen on the catalog pages in the images, is a

marking or drawing number, the nomenclature, as well as
photo/illustrations of the guns and mounts, accessories and tools. This
catalog was distributed to Ordnance Organizations as an addendum to
existing information and was updated at regular intervals. A small, but
extremely handy reference, as it contains the WW2 numbers of individual
components, which makes exact identification of a specific part
possible. This specimen is especially handy as it also illustrates many
WW2 accessories and tools for the M1917 & M1917A1 Machine gun.
The interior pages are in excellent condition, the exterior paper pages
exhibit light signs of soil and handling, as well as some yellowing from

30-333 Chinese Language Guide. 4-1/4-inch
wide x 5-1/4-inch high booklet, prepared by the War Department,
Washington 25, D.C., 22 June 1943 and printed by the Government Printing
Office in 1943. Paper covers, 62 pages of text and a few illustrations.
These booklets were distributed to GI’s being sent to China, to
provide them with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language so they
could get along with day-to-day needs such as travel, food, lodgings,
medical help, etc. The book provides the English word and its Chinese
phonetic pronunciation. A nice item for a GI’s personal items
collection or a footlocker display. Minor signs of age from handling and

TM 5-3100 Maintenance Manual For Model D6 Diesel Crawler Tractor 55
D.B.H.P.
Dated
August 14, 1943, 6-inch wide x 9-inch high x 1-1/4-inch thick format,
brown paper covers, 471 pages of photos, illustrations, charts and text,
containing detailed operating and maintenance instructions concerning,
repair, adjusting, trouble shooting and other general mechanical
procedures for the WW2 Caterpillar Tractor Model D6, as well as, parts
breakdown and special tools. Covers are moderately dog-eared, aged and
lightly soiled from handling and storage; the binding is tight; interior
pages are clean except for a few greasy thumbprints on a few pages,
(nothing severely detracting); front cover has some minor pencil
annotations. The Manual’s configuration is a departure from the
standard military type manual as it was published by the Caterpillar
Tractor Co., Peoria, Ill., and is basically comprised of their Tractor
Operators Instruction book, Tractor Servicemen’s Reference book and
Tractor Parts catalog, that were put together, in an expedient manner,
for Government contract tractors produced during WW2. A very
difficult manual to acquire. SCARCE. Vg. $59.00

Manual for Colt MG-53A .50 cal. Aircraft Machine Gun. Colt
factory instruction manual for the operation of the .50 cal., Colt,
aircraft machine gun, (MG 53A), fixed type with alternate feed,
air-cooled, produced by Colt’s Patent Fire Arms Mfg., Co., Hartford,
Connecticut, U.S.A. (Browning Patents).
10in x 8in format, soft covers, bound with brass split pin and
washer.
This early instruction manual, circa 1940, contains 14 pages of
photos, illustrations and detailed text of the Colt .50 cal., aircraft
machine gun. Great early style graphics, on heavy quality pages. Text
covers general data, spare parts list, cutaway illustrations of all
working parts, stripping, loading accessories, a complete list of
component parts and their part numbers. In addition there is one, large,
beautifully illustrated foldout, containing detailed line drawings of each
part and its corresponding part number.
The front cover exhibits light small soil spots, original owner has
lightly written on the front cover and first page, nothing detracting.
Interior pages excellent. The foldout is rendered on heavy paper
and is in near perfect condition. Back cover has moderate area where the
surface of the paper has been damaged by glue, (not a serious problem).

1UMM-7. FM 21-100 Soldiers Handbook. War Department Basic Field Manual,
dated July 23, 1941, (Including C1, May 4, 1942), 4-1/2-inch wide x
6-3/4-inch high format, paper covers, 263 pages with many illustrations
and charts. A basic manual issued to all U.S. soldiers, containing all
the information that they will need to know to be a good soldier, such
as, Military Obligations; The Articles of War; Post Activities; Military
Discipline; Military Courtesy; Wearing the Uniform; Use & Knowledge of Arms
& Equipment; Marching; Manual of Arms; Guard Duty; Use of Compasses
& Maps, as well as, First Aid, just to name a few. The outside
covers exhibit very light signs of age, as well as very minor and insignificant soil from
handling; the corners are very lightly bumped and slightly dog-eared.
Inside cover an title page are annotated with the original owners name
and full serial number. The interior pages are excellent. Every
collector and reenactor needs one of these manuals. Overall Vg+.

Truck. Dated May 12, 1943, 5-3/4-inch wide x 8-3/4-inch high format,
paper covers, 505 pages of photos, illustrations, charts and text,
containing detailed operating and maintenance instructions concerning,
repair, adjusting, trouble shooting and other general mechanical
procedures for the WW2 Dodge ¾ ton, 4 x 4 truck, as well as, parts
breakdown and special tools. This chassis was used for many different
models including, Weapons carrier, Carryall, Ambulance, Command Car,
Telephone Maintenance Truck and Emergency Repair Truck. Covers are
moderately dog-eared, age and moderately soiled from handling and
storage; there are some moderate scuffs on the surface of the front
cover and a small brown soil spot on the back cover; The paper on the
outside of the binding has darkened from storage age; the binding is
tight, interior pages are clean and tight; they are lightly yellowed on

Half-Track with mortar and other weapons and accessories. Covers are

7-1/2-inch high format, paper covers, 190 pages, many halftone photos,
illustrations, charts and text for the purpose of providing officers with
reasonably confirmed information from official and other reliable sources
regarding some of the principal German Infantry weapons with regard to
having U.S. troops learn to operate the German weapons that they may
encounter on the battlefield. The identification, characteristics,
operation, ammunition, maintenance and accessories of the following weapons
are covered in this publication. The Luger Pistol; Walther P38 Pistol;
Submachine Guns MP38 & MP40; Mauser KAR. 98k Rifle; PZB 39 Anti-Tank
Rifle; Stick Hand Grenade; Egg Hand Grenade; M.G. 34 Machine Gun; M.G. 42

ate worn, bumped and dog-eared. The internal pages are in vg+ condition they
exhibit light age and yellowing around the edges. The original owner has
inked his name on the top front cover and inked out the word,
“Restricted,” on the front cover and on the first page. There is a
great amount of useful information relative to identifying weapons and
ammunition that are covered in this book. The book looks better in
person than it does in the image. Overall condition about Vg. SCARCE. $45.00

WW2 US Jeep Technical Manual TM 9-803 for Willys -
Overland, Model MB & Ford, Model GPW, Jeep, ¼-Ton 4 x 4 Truck. WW2
War Department Technical Manual dated 22 February 1944. 5-1/2-inch wide
x 8-1/2-inch high, paper covers, 242 pages of clear photos,
illustrations, charts and text, containing detailed operating and
maintenance instructions concerning, repair, adjusting, trouble shooting
and other general mechanical procedures for the operation and repair of
the WW2 Jeep, as well as, detailed, illustrated parts breakdown. The
exterior covers of this example exhibit moderate wear, as well as very
heavy signs of age and soil from handling and storage; the front cover
exhibits some penciled in numbers, as well as olive drab paint over
spray, indicating that the manual was stored or used in an area where
Jeeps, and or, other equipment were being spray painted. The spine is
intact and is missing bits of paper on the top and bottom edges;
approximately 1-inch of the front cover is starting to pull away from
the spine area on the bottom left edge; the corners of several of the
pages, in the beginning of the manual, are bumped and dog-eared; the
first interior page has the original owners name penciled in. The
exterior has suffered a bit through the ages; however, the interior
pages are tight, clean and exhibit insignificant signs of age; this
manual is in sound, useable, condition and does not appear to have been
fully cracked open. The exterior would rate about Good -; the interior
would rate near excellent. This is an original WW2 Jeep military
manual, which is somewhat difficult to acquire and always in demand.

1943. 4-3/8-inch wide x 6-3/4-inch high format, paper covers, 180 pages,
of text, as well as, several charts, explaining the fundamentals of
administration of all phases of military operation in the field
including Theatre of Operations Organization, Transportation, Supply,
Evacuation, Hospitalization, Sanitation, Personnel Services, Civilians
in the Theatre of Operations, Burials, Salvage, Postal Service, Etc.
Covers exhibit light signs of age from handling and storage. Front cover
has a light vertical crease and has the owner’s name written in
pencil. Interior pages are in excellent condition; they are lightly

March 6, 1941. 4-3/8-inch wide x 7-7/8-inch high format, paper covers,
211 pages of text, many photos, some charts, explaining the conduct of
the Army Physical Training, including training positions, physical
training discipline, sitting-up, exercising while marching, running,
rifle exercises, swimming, etc., etc. Covers exhibit minor signs of age
from handling and storage. Front cover is lightly creased; has the ink
stamp of, “Service Battery 497th Armored Field Artillery
Battalion.” There’s a moderate blemish where a price tag was once
applied to the cover. The pages are in excellent condition. Over all
