2UMM-19. TM 9-1270 U.S. Rifles, Cal.30 M1903, M1903A1, M1903A3 and
M1903A4, Ordnance Maintenance, for Ordnance Personnel Only. War

wide x 8-3/4-inch high format, paper covers, 116 pages of photos, charts
and instructive text, providing detailed instructions for, “Ordnance
level maintenance and repair,” of the above listed weapons, which
includes the 1903A4 sniper rifle and scope, as well as slings and
bayonets. The manual covers complete disassembly and reassemble
including the use of special tools and techniques and has many detailed
illustrations and exploded views presenting interrelated complex parts
in a piece by piece proximity, which greatly aids disassembly and
reassembly. The exterior covers exhibit moderate to heavy signs of age
and soil with moderate wear, including dog ear corners and worn spine
edges, which are consistent with a manual that was actually used in an
Ordnance maintenance and repair facility; the front cover has ink
annotations and doodling on it. The interior pages exhibit lightly
yellowed and some have minor soil spots from handling; the bottom right
page corners have been heavily bumped and are dog eared; the bottom
right corner of page three has a moderate chunk of paper missing,
however it does not I interferer with a text. The detailed description
might tend to make this manual appear worse than it really is; this
manual is still very sound and intact and contains a wealth of
information on the M1903, M1903A1, M1903A3 and M1903A4 rifles, and is a
manual that is not often encountered. Overall condition about Vg-.
