| Marine Hitler Youth
Shoulder Board, Bann 5, Dark Blue Base With Yellow Piping, And Paper RZM
Tag. With Red Printing, Slip On Single |
 |
4GC-55RF. Dark blue Marine HJ shoulder board, (Marine
HJ shoulder boards had a dark blue base as opposed to the general HJ,
black based, shoulder boards), with yellow/gold piping and machine
embroidered number “56” in yellow/gold thread. The front and backside
of the shoulder board are in excellent condition, exhibiting light and
insignificant signs of age, light signs of use and insignificant soil; the
piping is lightly soiled from handling; the embroidered numbers are clean.
The backside has a thin, black, cloth attaching tab and a full,
“HJ-type,” paper RZM tag with red printing; the tag has a very small
nick in the paper on the right edge, otherwise it is completely intact and
firmly attached. A very nice example. SCARCE. Vg+. $45.00

| Herman Goring
Enlisted Man’s Cuff Title – 1942 Model 2nd Pattern With
Block Lettering |
 |
4GC-56PC. In the summer of 1942, the General Goring Regiment was
increased to Brigade strength and the cuff title was changed from
“General Goring,” to “Herman Goring.” The Herman Goring cuff title
was worn on the right cuff area of the Luftwaffe greatcoat, service tunic,
flight blouse and tropical tunic and the cuff title signifies the wearer is
a member of the Herman Goring Brigade. This example has the name,
“Herman Goring,” machine embroidered, using a silver/gray colored
thread, on dark blue, wool-felt material. The cuff title is approximately
15-3/4-inch long x 1-1/4-inch high; the top and bottom, horizontal, edges
are folded to the backside and finished with machine stitching; the right
end has a short, vertical, machine stitched edge. A piece of the left end
has been cut off. The embroidery is sewn through the backside and is
supported by black, open weave, backing material. There are numerous small
to moderate moth holes, on both sides of the dark blue wool material,
(there is one hole slightly larger than moderate), as well as moderate to
heavy moth tracking, where the surface material was eaten causing the
material to be very weak and partly transparent those areas. Because the
material is dark, the holes and deficiencies are not all that evident at
first glance and, in my opinion, this specimen is much better than a
representative example. The cuff title does not appear to have been used,
however, there is a piece of additional sewing thread attached to the
center of the upper border indicating the cuff title was probably sewn onto
something at one time. This is one of our direct veteran purchases that
has not seen the light of day before this offering. I have taken the
deficiencies into consideration when pricing this item. Overall about
Good++ or better. $185.00 SOLD

officer collar tab, exhibiting bright silver bullion wire embroidery, with
braded silver wire center piping, on crimson red wool backing. The reverse
is almost completely covered with crimson red wool. The reverse has a
light brown cardboard stiffener that can be seen between the narrow
opening on the backside. The tab exhibits minor age and insignificant soil
from handling and storage. Some minor glue residue on the backside,
(nothing serious). A definite crimson red color. Unused.
Excellent. $30.00 Single SOLD

| SA,
(Sturmabteilung), Group Niederrhein R4/135 Collar Tab, With Paper RZM Tag
– Single, Right Side. The Brown Shirts |
 |
4GC-59CAC. Approximately 2-3/8-inch wide x
1-5/8-inch high, single SA, (Sturmabteilung), collar tab. Silver/white
numbers, “R4/135,” machine embroidered on black wool background with
yellow cord piping, (SA Reserve, 4 Strum, 135 Standarte, Group Niederrhein).
The front and backside of the tab are in excellent condition; the RZM tag
is fully intact and firmly attached; the paper has one very small insect
bite that is not too noticeable and does not present itself as any
problem. Although the tab appears to be unused, it has two remnants of
threads used to sew tab on a uniform. A really nice tab. Excellent. $135.00 SOLD |

embroidered on a 4-1/4-inch wide x 2-1/8-inch high, lightweight, tan linen

uniforms and shirts. This example has been carefully removed from a
uniform; most of the original sewing threads still remain. Little wear,
light age and moderately soiled from actual use. A scarce Luftwaffe
insignia. Vg-. $150.00 SOLD |

| Luftwaffe NCO
Unterfeldwebel - Flying Troops & Paratroopers Shoulder Board, With
Pebbled Matte Silver Button – Sew In Single |
 |
4GC-63. The board has high quality
Luftwaffe blue/gray Tricot wool top with, bright silver NCO tresse on all
sides, and golden/yellow wool piping, signifying Flying troops &
Paratroopers. The underside is finished with Luftwaffe blue/gray wool, and
it has a semi-flexible internal stiffener. Approximately ¼-inch of
material extends from the bottom edge for sewing the board into the
shoulder seam of a uniform. This specimen comes with its original, 16mm,
silver pebbled shoulder board button, which is marked, “OLC, 16m,”on
the backside. The front of the board is in just about mint unissued
condition, showing the very slightest and very insignificant signs of age,
no wear, soil or mothing. The backside is in the same condition with the
addition of one small spot of mothing that does not actually go completely
through the material; in my opinion, this mothing is very inconsequential
and not visible at first glance. There is another, smaller, bite on the
blue/gray wool, near, but not into, the golden/yellow wool piping located
near the top left hand curve of the board. The button has 100% of its
original matte silver finish on the front; the backside has a gray finish.
A piping color that’s very much in demand. Just in beautiful condition.
Excellent++. $38.00 SOLD

4GC-64. 1-3/4-inch wide
x 2-7/8-inch high German Army Medical officer collar tab, exhibiting matte
silver bullion wire embroidery, with braded cornflower blue piping,

buckram stiffener. The tab exhibits just a hint of age and is overall
beautiful condition. Unused. Excellent. $24.00 Single |
| Army Panzer
Enlisted/NCO M43 Field Cap Eagle - Trapezoid Shape |
 |
4GC-66. Mouse gray, machine woven, eagle &
swastika with red, white & black national colors rosette, on a trapezoid
shaped black background, as worn on the Army Panzer M43 field cap. This
example exhibits very light and insignificant signs of age, as well as
light toning on the white cockade, from handling; there are two thread
pulls at the bottom center of the cockade. Cut from a roll. Unused. Very
nice. Near excellent. $65.00 SOLD |
| Army Machine Woven
Enlisted Man Breast Eagle, Silver Gray Eagle on Gray/Green Background
|
 |
4GC-67. Silver gray German Army eagle and
swastika, machine woven, on gray/green material. The eagle exhibits
light signs of age, no actual wear, and insignificant, even, soil from
handling and storage. The insignia is not as dark as in the image and there is a soiled area on the right side that
shows up much greater in the image than what is actually there. The
insignia was cut from a roll and never used. A nice example. Vg.
$40.00 |
| National Colors
Cockade & Wreath, For The Black Panzer Beret |
 |
4GC-68. Machine
embroidered, white oak leaf wreath with embroidered red, white, &
black German national colors cockade in the center. This insignia was specifically
designed for the front of the RARE, black, Panzer beret. The
Panzer beret was abolished early in 1941 and replaced by the black Panzer
M43 cap; however, the beret continued to be worn by drivers of certain
tanks and armored vehicles. This example exhibits light signs of age from
handling and use, as well as light, even, overall soil, with the addition
of one spot of moderate soil, (not too bad looking; looks like a greasy
thumb print near the edge of the left side). The wreath has been used and,
light, hand stitch marks are evident around the outer edge of the
insignia. A very nice used example. Somewhat scarce. Used. Vg. $95.00 |
