tin donation badge for the “VDA” organization. Inscription on front,
“Volksgenosse Hilf! Winterhilfswerk Des Deutschen Volkes 1933-34, ”
(Party Comrades Help Us! Winter Relief Work Of The German People
1933-34). Horizontal, safety pin type, attaching pin. Light to moderate
age, as well as light to moderate scratches and chips to the finish from
handling and use, otherwise Vg.

2GT-21. 1-7/8-inch wide x 1-3/16-inch
high, thin stamped metal tinnie depicting a very small airplane with the
wing inscribed, “Das Deutsche Volk Muss Ein Volk Von Fliegern Werden -
Herman Goring, (The German People Must Become a Nation of Flyers, Herman
Goring). A donation badge for Nazi Air Sports Organizations. The tinnie
has an aged gray metal finish showing extremely minor remnants of
original silver wash. The unmarked backside has a horizontal attaching

2GT-22. Winter Help/Relief Work, (WHW),
donation badge, for donation of money, fool, clothing, etc. for the
winter war effort. 1-1/16-inch wide x 1-3/8-inch high thin stamped metal
badge depicting, in relief, a Monk or young boy wearing a Monk’s
cassock, (possibly the Munich Monk); the figure is holding a “Heart”
against his body on the left side and a NSDAP donation can, bearing a
swastika, in his right hand. The top edge of the badge is embossed
“WHW,” the bottom edge is dated 1936. The brass finish has darkened
from age and there are several spots of rust from storage, (not too bad
looking); the unmarked backside is aged, tarnished and has a vertical

2GT-23. An
organization, under the supervision of the Nazi Party, for the care of
war wounded and relatives of war killed. 1-1/4-inch high x 5/8-inch wide
stamped alloy badge depicting a swastika in the center of a Maltese
Cross, superimposed on a vertical sword, within an oak leaf border. This
specimen has a slightly crude appearance and it is moderately aged and
worn; the original silver finish is completely worn to a matte gray base
metal. The reverse has a vertical attaching pin and is embossed with a
partly legible RZM mark and partly legible M1/#. A nice representative

brass cross depicting the central design of the "Holy Robe" of
Jesus; which is still in the cathedral in the ancient Roman colonial city of Trier, and bears the
embossed inscription “Trier 1933.” The hollow backside is maker
marked and has a vertical attaching pin. Vg. $12.00 |

wide x 1-3/8-inch, thin, stamped metal badge depicting an airplane, (an
enemy, I presume), diving on the outline of German house, the badge
bears the embossed, RLB,” (National Air Raid Protection Union), logo
design; the border is embossed with the inscription, “Luftschutz Tut
Not, (air defense is necessary). All
of the silver finish is heavily worn off from handling and the badge has
toned to a dark gray patina; only extremely minor remnants of the
original finish remains. The hollow, backside is aged and tarnished and
has a horizontal, safety pin type, attaching pin. Unmarked. Vg-. $10.00 |

2GT-25a. 1-inch wide x 1-3/8-inch, thin, stamped bright silver metal badge
depicting an airplane, (an enemy, I presume), diving on the
outline of German house, the badge bears the embossed, RLB,” (National
Air Raid Protection Union), logo design; the border is embossed with the
inscription, “Luftschutz Tut Not,” (air defense is necessary). This
example is an exercise in German economy; it’s very thin and lightly
stamped; an integral tab, folded over the top back edge, holds a
“common pin” for attaching to clothing. Looks like they were
running out of money when this one was made; an excellent representative

2GT-26. 1-3/8-inch diameter silver
washed, heavy alloy badge, depicting a profile of Hitler with the
following words, Hitler’s Dank – Gau Westfalen Nord – Winter-hilfe,
1933-1934 (Hitler’s gratitude for WHW work 1933/34.) Silver finish is
tarnished and worn on the highlights, however, approximately 50% of the
original silver finish still remains Nice large and heavy tinnie, nice
high relief. Reverse is maker marked, unfortunately, half of the
horizontal attaching pin is missing; still displays quite nicely. Vg. $35.00

inch wide x 1-1/4 inch high, Stamped metal eagle standing on a circle
with a glass, (?), bead in the center. Embossed inscription, “W.H.W.
1934 – 35.” The WHW.,
(Winter Help Relief), provided, through donations, food and cloths for
the German people throughout the winter. Light wear and tarnish to the
brass plated finish. The hollow backside is moderately tarnished and has
a vertical attaching pin. Unmarked. A unique donation badge.

2GT-28. 1-3/8-inch wide x 1-3/4-inch
high stamped aluminum badge depicting in a spread winged eagle standing
on a swastika and the date 1936, above the confluence of the Rhein &
Main Rivers. Embossed lettering along the border edge, “Gautag
Hessen-Nassau, Frankfurt am Main.” The front of the badge exhibits
light to moderate signs of age, wear and insignificant soil from
handling and use. The flat backside is marked, “E.F. Weidermann,
Frankfurt a. M.S.,” and has a horizontal attaching pin. Light age,
very nice condition. Vg+. $42.00

2GT-29. 1-3/8-inch wide x 1-1/2-inch high stamped silver painted aluminum badge
depicting a Hitler Youth diamond insignia superimposed on an eagles
chest; the eagle is above a campfire and is holding branches in its
beak. Wording around edges, “Deutsches Jugend Fest 1935.” Light wear
to the silver paint on the highlights; most of original silver finish is
still intact. Reverse has darkened from age. Complete with its

Badge- 1934 – 1935 – Painted Wood Variation |

2GT-K30. 1-1/2-inch diameter x 1/8-inch
thick, wood, WHW donation badge depicting the embossed design of an
eagle and swastika; wording around edge, “Winterhilfswerk 1934/35.”
The eagle and lettering have a crude gold over paint and the wood is
painted a “hot pink” color; the, original, twisted gold bullion
thread hanger still remains. Backside is maker marked, “H. Rossberg.
Lam, Bayer. Ostmark, (the hole for the hanger goes partly through the
maker information). Light age from handling. Unique. Excellent.

German Navigation - Navigation is Necessary 1935 |

2GT-31. 1-5/8
inch wide x 1-3/4 inch high, solid stamped aluminum alloy badge for the
German State Navigation Institution. Beautiful depiction of a, three
mast sailing ship surmounted by an eagle and swastika, as well as, part
of an anchor at the bottom of the badge. Embossed inscription,
“Seefahrt Ist Not, Tag der Deutschen Seefahrt 25.25.5.1935.” The
natural silver aluminum finish has a light gray patina; not quite as
dark as in the image; there is one minor spot of deterioration in the
area of the “Not” word. The flat backside is maker marked and has a

2GT-32. 1-1/4-inch wide x 1-7/8-inch high, thin, stamped brass, “keystone
shaped,” badge Bearing the NSBO symbol, (The Nazi Farmers’
Organization), of a hand holding a hammer with a swastika and a partial
gear with the letters NSBO, and the swastika and gear symbol for the
DAF, (German Labor Front). The words, “Treffen Der NSBO Und DAF Gau
Magdebg.Anhalt, Magdeberg 27 Mai 1934,” are embossed around the edges
and bottom of the badge. The front has a very dark “smokey” finish
with some brass showing through. The unmarked backside is very dark and
is missing its attaching pin. The front of the badge displays
quite nicely without the pin. A nice representative example. Vg.
