| WW2 Kingdom of Belgium, Military of Justice War Crimes Commission Booklet of War Crimes Committed During Von Rundstedt’s WW2 Counter Offensive in the Ardennes, in the Belgium Town of, “BANDE,” December 1944 – January 1945 | |
|
1OC-2. 6-inch wide x 9-1/2-inch high booklet published in 1945, in Liege, Belgium, Gerorges Thone, Editor. Orange colored pulp paper covers, 31 pages of text, as well as several photographs and a few illustrations, which chronicles rampaging, murderous German soldiers, (SS soldiers), killing civilians, as they searched for Americans hiding in this very small town in Belgium, right in the middle of the Battle of the Bulge. The text is extremely concise and accurate, providing names and the particular circumstances that placed each person, as well as complete families in harms way, resulting in their death. It’s a very emotional read, (but you won’t be able to put it down), which presents a side of WW2 that’s not taught in any history book and, at this date, has become blurred in the passing of time. The covers are moderately aged, worn and soiled, around the edges, from storage; there is a water stain on the upper left corner. The pulp paper pages have yellowed from age and some pages are lightly soiled, however, they are in surprisingly good condition; they are overall intact and not damaged. A very important historical booklet. SCARCE. Vg-. $35.00 SOLD |
