Unfinished "PASGT" Kevlar Helmet |

1USNE-1. "PASGT" Kevlar (Personal Armor System Group Troops) helmet in unfinished condition. This specimen was constructed by layering 4-inch squares of Kevlar material onto each other to obtain the desired thickness of the helmet. Holes for the various hardware have been drilled. The raw color before painting, is a golden yellow. A great opportunity to acquire an unusual variation of the Kevlar helmet. It’s in the book, "Steel Pots" by Chris Armold, page 251-252. 1USNE-2. One-inch wide Olive green nylon duck straps with adjustable black metal hardware on each end. Soft OD cotton chin cup with blackened snap release on one side. Metal ends of chinstrap easily clip onto the “D” rings of the M1 steel helmet. Specification paper marked, “8470-00-030-8003, 1 Ea. Strap Chin Helmet Ground Troops, Steel M-1 DLA-100-81-F-U703” and dated in the 1980’s. Chin strap is in new condition, it has never been applied to a helmet and it’s in its original GI wrapping with instructions. This chinstrap will fit any M1 US GI steel helmet. Unused. 1USNE-3. Ruggedly constructed, 7-inch x 4-1/4inch x 2-3/8-inch heavy olive green canvas belt pouch that holds four 20-rd. M-16 magazines. Loops and straps designed to safely carry one grenade on each side. Double metal "ALICE" clips on backside attach to pistol belt and a long strap with snap clip distributes weight to shoulder harness. Black metal hardware used throughout. US stamp on front, inside lid marked, " Case Small Arms, Ammunition, DSA 100-69-C-1158, 8465-647-0852. Some of the metal parts have a light and insignificant verdigris coating that can easily be removed. Unused old stock. Excellent. $19.00 |

1USNE-4. A heavy, olive green, "Nylon Duck" bag, with a wide nylon reinforcing strap sewn on three sides, making this bag suitable for carrying heavy loads of ammunition. This nylon reinforcing strap terminates on one side with a snap hook, and a "D" ring on the other side. Metal vent hole on bottom, as well as, two additional "D" rings on each side. This bag is an exact copy of a canvas WW2 bag, originally designed to carry quantities of hand grenades, ammunition and or magazines. The bag was very popular with the WW2 GI, who created a multitude of other uses for it. This nylon specimen has a large flap closure with ALICE type spring clip buckle. Interior of lid marked, "Bag, Ammunition, DLA -100-87-C-4012, NSN 8465-00-261-4998, Owen Mills Co." This is a large, very rugged bag, constructed to last. Unused. New. $35.00 |

1USNE-10. Original, circa 1950’s, GI Issue, heavyweight olive green cotton web sling for the US M1Carbine. Blackened metal hardware throughout. Metal lift the dot closure and stud. No markings on the sling, however, the backside of the adjusting buckle is stamped with “W” logo within a circle, as well as, “USA.” Sling is in excellent unused condition, exhibiting only the very slightest signs of verdigris on one of the end tips. This surface verdigris can easily be removed. Original slings are an important accessory for the US Carbine and have become very difficult to find.
