NOTE:
In
some cases, because we have small quantities of some of the patches
listed, you may not receive the exact patch that is pictured; however,
you will receive an original WW2 period patch, as good, or in better
condition than the one shown. Of course, variations and
patches that are listed
because of their uniqueness will be the actual patch that you will receive.

1UP-1. 2-1/2-inch wide x
3-inch high, fully embroidered blue patch depicting a winged number

WW2 Airborne tab for this patch. The 11th Airborne

ABN trained for the invasion of the Philippines; their mission was to
disrupt Japanese supply lines and cut Japanese escape routes. The 11th
fought and defeated Japanese Paratroopers dropped on the San Pablo
airstrip; the 11th made amphibious and airborne landings in
their drive toward Manila and was credited as being the first U.S. unit to
land on the Japanese mainland. 204 days of combat in three campaigns.

Airborne tab, which has the same style embroidery as the patch. This example exhibits moderate
signs of age, light wear, no actual soil, (the backside has some minor
and insignificant brown marks, but nothing serious). It appears that the
patch has been used but there are no thread remnants or stitch marks
that I can see. Nice. SCARCE.

soil. This example has been used and removed from a uniform; remnants of
original sewing thread still remain. Nice. SCARCE.

Airborne Division - with Green Edge - No Tab |

1UP-2. 2-1/4-inch
wide x 3-inch high fully embroidered blue patch with a light olive

patch. Activated
in August 1943, sent to the European Theatre of Operations in January of
1945 and assigned to the 1st Allied Airborne Army. The unit
was assigned to take part in Operation Varsity but due to a lack of
aircraft, never made it and was not actually involved in combat as a
unit. In August 1945 the unit returned to the United States to prepare
for duty in the Pacific, however, they were never sent because of the
Japanese surrender. The 13th Airborne Division was
deactivated in February 1946. Unused. Excellent+. $24.00

Tab and Patch, On Khaki Shirt Material |
 |
1UP-2c. 2-inch
wide x 3-1/2-inch high, fully embroidered blue patch depicting a, gold
embroidered, winged Unicorn. The Airborne tab was made integral to the
patch when it was manufactured and it is embroidered directly to the top
edge of the patch. This example exhibits very insignificant signs of age
and wear and only the very slightest hint of soil form handling and
light use. The patch is still attached to a piece of khaki shirt
material, (the material appears to be Army officer type tropical
worsted wool), which completely covers the backside; machine
stitching can be seen along the border edge on the front. A nice
variation. SCARCE. Vg. $49.00

black patch depicting an eagles talon in
gold thread, within an olive drab border. The Airborne

large,
space between the patch and the tab is an extension of the same OD cloth
that the patch and tab is embroidered on and it has the appearance of,
"HBT " (Herringbone Twill), cloth. This example is in
excellent overall unused condition, except for a frayed area, on the
border edge, near the left claw, which so often appears on some, WW2,
cut edge patches, (nothing seriously detracting). An interesting
variation. SCARCE.
