I Armor Corps - Golden Yellow Apex
1ARMC-1rf. Fully embroidered red, blue and golden yellow triangular shaped patch, approximately 4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered Roman numeral, “I,” at its apex. The 1st Armored Corps participated in the North African Campaign as part of Task Force A. Casablanca, French Morocco, Oran, Algeria, Operation Husky, and Sicily. This example exhibits light age, as well as overall light, even, soil from handling and storage; there is a horizontal ink mark on the blue part of the patch, (nothing too serious). The backside shows mostly white thread and exhibits very insignificant spots of glue, (almost unnoticeable). The patch is simply aged and does not appear to have been used. A very nice example, reasonably priced. Vg. $15.00
I Armor Corps Embroidered on Thick Wool - Lemon Yellow Apex
1ARMC-1arf. Approximately 4-inch wide x 3-inch high, depicting distinct horizontal lines of embroidery; red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered Roman numeral, “I,” at its apex. The patch exhibits light to moderate signs of age, light and insignificant soil, as well as some areas of moderate wear consistent with actual use. The wool area around the edges of the patch exhibit signs of hand stitching. The backside is nearly covered with glued paper from a scrapbook. The white areas on the patch are reflections from the scanner and not actually on the patch. Reasonably priced. Vg. $28.00 SOLD 
II Armor Corps - Golden Yellow Apex

Activated in 1942; in September 1943 the 2nd Armored Corps was redesignated the XVIII Corps; European Theatre of operation August 1944; redesigned the XVIII Airborne Corps. Unused. Excellent. $22.00

II Armor Corps - Lemon Yellow Apex - Numerals off Center
2ARMC-2cax. Fully embroidered red, blue and lemon yellow triangular shaped patch, approximately 3-3/4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered Roman numeral, “II,” at its apex. The Roman numerals were embroidered  slightly off center and the backside exhibits a variation weave. Light age, light wear, no actual soil; the patch is used and several remnants of original sewing thread still remain. A reasonably price example. Vg. $12.00
III Armor Corps - Golden Yellow Apex

3ARMC-1cce. Fully embroidered red, blue and golden yellow triangular shaped patch approximately 4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered Roman numeral “III Activated in 1942; redesignated XIX Corps in 1943 and embarked for the European Theatre of Operations in January of 1944. Just a slight hint of minor age; nice semi-distinct vertical lines of embroidery; the backside has three spots of glued paper. Unused. Near excellent. $24.00

IV Armor Corps - Lemon Yellow Apex 

4ARMC-1az. Fully embroidered red, blue and lemon yellow triangular shaped patch, approximately 3-3/4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered Roman numeral, “IV,” at its apex. The 4th Armor Corps was activated September 5, 1942 and was headquartered at Camp Young, Indio, California. The 4th Armor Corps was responsible for service units supporting Desert Training Operations. With a change of stations to Camp Campbell, Kentucky, the 4th Armored Corps trained and tested Divisions and other units for overseas service. In 1943, while training in the Tennessee Maneuvers Area, the 4th Armor Corps was redesignated as the XX Corps; the unit completed it maneuvers training, returned to Camp Campbell for reorganization then embarked on the Queen Mary for the European Theatre of Operations on February 11, 1944. This example has been used; it exhibits moderate signs  of age, and wear consistent with actual use; very insignificant signs of soil; remnants of machine sewing thread remain along each edge. The backside exhibits mostly white thread. Vg. $22.00

Armor School - Lemon Yellow Apex 
1ARS-1ax. Fully embroidered red, blue and lemon yellow triangular shaped patch, approximately 3-3/4-inch wide x 3-3/8-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered letter, “S,” (school), at its apex. This example exhibits light to moderate signs of age and wear, as well as, even, soil. The patch is used and has been removed from a uniform; very minor remnants of the original sewing thread still remain. The backside is mostly covered with glue and partly covered with paper from being in a scrapbook; The patch is a little stiff due to the glue on the backside. The front is very presentable and will make a very acceptable representative example of an Armor School patch. Reasonably priced. Used. About Vg. $10.00 
The Armored Force - Golden Yellow Apex
1ARMF-1. 3-7/8-inch wide x 3-1/4-inch high, fully embroidered, red, blue and golden  yellow triangular shaped patch depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon. The Armored Force was organized in 1940 at Fort Knox, Kentucky as a test unit; at that time, there was no Congressional authorization to create a separate Armored service branch. The unit was given authority over all existing tank units. They were responsible for developing armored tactics and techniques. When units were trained, they were released from the Armored Force and assigned to local commanders. In July 1943 the Armored Force was redesignated the Armor Command and then in February 1944 they were changed again to the Armor Center. By the end of WW2 the Armored Center had trained over 12,000 officer candidates and over 71,000 enlisted men to serve in Armored units. Very insignificant signs of age. Unused. Near excellent. $8.00

1ARMF-1hrf.  Approximately 4-inch wide x 3-3/4-inch high; lemon yellow apex, light to moderate signs of age, wear and soil. Used. Vg. $6.00 
1st Armor Division - Old Ironsides - Golden Yellow Apex

1AP-1mfl. Fully embroidered red, blue and golden yellow triangular shaped patch approx. 4-inch wide x 3-1/2in high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number “1.” European Theatre, Operation Torch, Algeria, Tunisia, Kasserine Pas, Operation Vulcan, Salerno, Anzio, Cassino, Rome, Operation buffalo, Arno River, Gothic Line, Apennines, Po Valley, Bologna. Five Campaigns, and participated in some of the worst battles, under the worst possible conditions and terrains of the war. Slight variation number "1." It appears that there is a dark colored sizing on the backside. Unused. Excellent. $10.00 

1st Armor Division - Old Ironsides - Golden Yellow Apex
1AP-1amfl. Same description as above except, 3-3/4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, golden yellow apex, light age, light wear and light, even, overall soil. Slight variation number, "1;" remnants of original sewing thread still remain. Used. $9.00
1st Armor Division - Old Ironsides - Light Golden Yellow Apex
1AP-1bmfl. Same description as above except, 3-31/2-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, light golden yellow apex, light age, light wear and insignificant soil. Slight variation number, "1;" remnants of original sewing thread still remain. Normal backside. Nice patch. Used. $8.00
2nd Armored Division – Hell On Wheels - Golden Yellow Apex 
1AP-2mfl. Fully embroidered red, blue and golden yellow triangular shaped patch \, approximately 4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “2,” at its apex. The 2nd Armor Division was activated as a regular Army unit on July 15, 1940 and was headquartered at Fort Benning, Georgia. In October 1942 elements of the 2nd Armor embarked for North Africa and the European Theatre of Operations; in December 1942 the remainder of the unit embarked for North Africa. Some elements of the 2nd Armor Division saw combat in Tunisia; however, they participated as a complete unit in Operation Husky, (the invasion of Sicily). After the surrender of German and Italian forces in Sicily the unit returned to England to prepare for operation Torch. The 2nd Armor Division landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day plus 3, seeing action near Carentan with the 101st Airborne Division. The unit participated in Operation Cobra, and saw action near  Saint Lo. The 2nd Armor Division, with the First Army, raced across France into Belgium. Falice Pocket, Seine River, Northern France, Somme River, and entered Belgium. On September 13, 1944 the unit crossed the Albert Canal and entered Germany. Siegfried Line, Wurm River, Roer River and onto the Ardennes and participated in actions against the German Winter Offensive. After a period of rest, and repair of equipment, the 2nd Armor Division, along with the Ninth Army, spearheaded Operation Grenade and attacked the Roer River and onto the Rhine where they defeated the defending German forces. The 2nd Armored Division along with the 3rd Armored Division was able to encircle 500,000 German soldiers of Army Group B. After working on a reduction of the Ruhr Pocket, the 2nd Armor Division was sent to Braunschweig in preparation for its occupation duties in Berlin and Frankfurt. The 2nd Armored Division returned to the United States in January of 1946; the unit fought in six campaigns at a loss of over 5,800 men. This example exhibits a very heavily embroidered number "2" and has extremely very light signs of age. Unused. Excellent. $10.00 SOLD

3rd Armored Division – Spearhead - Golden Yellow Apex
1AP-3cce. Fully embroidered red, blue and golden yellow triangular shaped patch, 3-3/4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “3,” at its apex. European Theatre of Operation; landed in Normandy, France in June 1944. Villiers Fossard, and hedgerow fighting, breaking out at Marigny. St. Lo break through, Mortain Sector, Falaise Pocket, Seine River, Siegfried Line, Roer River, Ardennes, St. Vith, and Houffalize, Belgium; Koln, Patterborn, Lippstadt, Ruhr Pocket, Elbe River, Dessau, Sangerhausen, and occupation duty. Fully embroidered red, blue and lemon yellow triangular shaped patch, 3-3/4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “3,” at its apex. Semi-distinct vertical lines of embroidery; mostly white backside; some light fraying along the bottom edge, which is a normal characteristic of some, WW2 period, cut-edge patches, (nothing of a serious nature). 1AP-3bax. Fully embroidered red, blue and lemon yellow triangular shaped patch, 3-7/8-inch wide x 3-3/8-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “3,” at its apex. Semi-distinct vertical lines of embroidery; mostly white backside. A beauty. Unused. Excellent. $14.00
5th Armored Division  - The Victory Division - Golden Yellow Apex

European Theatre of Operation, Utah Beach on July 24, 1944, Coutances, Avranches, Vitre, Mayenne River, Operation Cobra, Le Mans, Argentan-Falaise Gap, Eure River. The Division marched through Paris on August 30, 1944. Compiegne Forest, To the Belgium border. Luxemburg, Our River and into Germany. Walendorf, Siegfried Line. Huertgen Forest, Ardennes, Battle of the Bulge. Located at the Rhine River and Elbe River area at the end of hostilities. Five campaigns, 161 days of combat with a loss of over 3,000 men. Unused. Excellent. $10.00 
5th Armored Division  - The Victory Division - Golden Yellow Apex - Lightly Used, "Salty" Appearance
1AP-5acc. Same description as above, except, this example has a "whitish" backside and exhibits light signs of  age, insignificant wear from handling and storage; very light overall soil consistent with actual use. Sort of "salty" appearance. Nice. Vg. $9.00
5th Armored Division – The Victory Division - Golden Yellow Apex, Greenback Variation with Embroidery Flaw
 1AP-5bcc. Same description as above except, the front of this patch exhibits a vertical embroidery flaw. The reverse exhibits an overall, olive green thread backing, which is of particular interest to patch collectors. A nice representative example of a green back Armor patch, very reasonably priced. Unused. Near excellent, except for the flaw. $6.00
6th Armored Division – The Super Sixth - Golden Yellow Apex

Approx. 4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “6,” at its apex. European Theatre, Operation in February 1944, landing on Utah Beach, Normandy in July 1944. Granville, Avranches, Britany Peninsuaa, Brest, Lorient, Angers, Nancy, and into the Saar. Nied River, reaching Germany in December 1944. Battle of the Bulge, Metz, Sauer River, Bastogne, Siegfried Line. Prum River, Rhine River, Worms, Frankfurt, Main River, Bad Nauheim, Muhlhausen, Saale River and the capture of the Buchenwald Concentration Camp. Leipzig, Mulde River. Occupation duties in Weimar. 6th Armored Division – The Super Sixth - Golden Yellow Apex - Greenback Variation
1AP-6caz. Same description as above; Heavily embroidered "6;" light signs of age, insignificant soil. The reverse of this patch exhibits an overall olive green thread backing, which is of particular interest to patch collectors. This patch has been used and exhibits many remnants of original tan colored sewing thread. Nice. Vg+. $24.00
7th Armored Division - The Lucky Seventh - Golden Yellow Apex
1AP-7mfl. Fully embroidered red, blue and golden yellow, triangular shaped patch, approximately 3-3/4-inch wide x 3-1/4-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “7,” at its apex. European Theatre of Operations, Omaha and Utah beach in August of 1944. The 7th Armor fought in Chartres, Seinne River, Chauteau-Theirry, Marne River, Metz, Roer River, Manhay in Belgium; St. Vith, Rhine River, Remagen Bridgehead, Ruhr Pocket, Elbe River and Mecklenburg to the Baltic Sea and participated in occupation duty at the end of the war. Four campaigns, 172 days in combat, loosing over 5,700 men. Unused. condition. Excellent $10.00
7th Armored Division - The Lucky Seventh - Golden Yellow Apex - Variation "7" Serif
1AP-7aaz. Same description as above, except the number "7" has a serif on the top edge. Unused. Excellent. $12.00

NOTE: Every once in a while we acquire a patch that has the appearance of actually being in combat. The age, wear and soil are infused into the patch in a way that contributes a character to its appearance that says; "I have been there;" the following item is one of those patches. We cannot guarantee that this patch has actually been in combat, however, it has the appearance and feel of a patch that has been, naturally, subjected to years of use in the field, and would have an attraction to those who appreciate such patches. 

7th Armored Division - The Lucky Seventh - Golden Yellow Apex, Combat Condition
1AP-7bmfl. Approximately 3-1/2-inch wide x 3-3/8-inch high. This example exhibits heavy age, moderate wear, as well as heavy, but even, soil throughout the front and backside of this patch; there are signs of machine stitching along each edge, (no actual thread), and there is a tiny, almost imperceptive, pin hole at the apex. This patch really talks to you. Used. Vg-. $20.00
7th Armored Division - The Lucky Seventh - Lemon Yellow Apex
1AP-7cmfl. 3-1/2-inch wide x 3-1/4-inch high, well used example exhibiting moderate age, heavy wear along the edges, in the form of fraying to the border from sewing and use. The central part of the patch exhibits moderate worn consistent with normal use; light soil. Remnants of original sewing thread still remains. A sound representative example . Good. $5.00
8th Armored Division - The Iron Snake Division – Lemon Yellow Apex - Green Back Variation
1AP-8amrf. Fully embroidered red, blue and lemon yellow, triangular shaped patch. Approximately 3-3/4-inch wide x 3-1/4-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “8.” at its apex. The reverse of this patch exhibits an overall, green thread backing, which is of particular interest to patch collectors. European Theatre of Operation, landed in France in January 1945. The unit assembled in Normandy but quickly streamed 350 miles across France to help stop the German attack on Strosburg. Moselle-Saar Salient, Nennig, Sinz, Berg, and into Roermond, Holland. Operation Grenade, Tetirath, Oberkruchten, Lintfort, and heavy fighting in Theinsberg, Milligen, and Ossenberg. Crossed the Rine River, Operation Flashpoint, Ruhr Pocket, Lippe River, Captured Neuhaus. Moping up operations in the Harz Mountains, and remained there for occupation duty. The 8th Armored Division fought in three Campaigns, 63 days in combat at a loss of over 2,000 men. Moderate age and wear; overall infused soil consistent with moderate daily use. The patch has been used and removed from a uniform; remnants of original sewing thread and machine-stitching marks still remain. A nice aged example. Vg-. $19.00 
8th Armored Division - The Iron Snake Division – Lemon Yellow Apex
1AP-8bcce. Approximately 3-3/4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, same description as above except, this example exhibits light to moderate overall signs of age wear and soil and has a, normal, whitish thread backside. The patch has been used and removed from a uniform; remnants of original sewing thread and machine-stitching marks still remain, Vg- $8.00 SOLD
8th Armored Division - The Iron Snake Division – Golden Yellow Apex
1AP-8cmfl. Approximately 3-3/8-inch wide x 3-3/8-inch high patch with a golden yellow apex. This example exhibits light to moderate signs of age, light wear and moderate, overall, infused soil that is consistent with daily use: normal, whitish thread backside. The patch has been used and removed from a uniform; minor remnants of original sewing thread and machine-stitching marks still remain. "Salty." Nice aged patch. Vg- $9.00
8th Armored Division - The Iron Snake Division – Golden Yellow Apex
1AP-8dmfl. Approximately 3-1/2-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high patch with a golden yellow apex. This example exhibits heavy signs of age and wear, (mostly fraying around the edges, could probably be trimmed up a bit); light light signs of soil. The whitish thread backside has one small spot of rust, (nothing of a serious nature). Heavily used. About Good. $5.00
9th Armored Division – The Phantom Division - Golden Yellow Apex

1AP-9cmfl. Approximately 3-3/4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “9.” at its apex. The reverse of this patch exhibits an overall, white thread backing, which is of particular interest to patch collectors. The patch exhibits light age, insignificant soil, as well as light to moderate fraying along part of the left edge, which is a normal characteristic of some, WW2 period, cut-edge patches, (nothing of a serious nature). The patch has a mostly white backing. The patch does not appear to have been used. Vg. $10.00
10th Armored Division – The Tiger Division – Embroidered on Thick Wool - Lemon Yellow Apex
1AP-10aze. Approximately 3-1/2-inch wide x 3-inch high patch, embroidered on heavy wool, depicting distinct horizontal lines of embroidery, with lemon yellow apex and red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number "10." The patch exhibits moderate signs of age, light wear, as well as light to moderate spots of soil. The wool edges have been close to the colored part of the patch. The backside is nearly covered with glued paper from a scrapbook. Reasonably priced. About Vg. $24.00 
10th Armored Division – The Tiger Division – Golden Yellow Apex
1AP-10rf. Fully embroidered red, blue and golden yellow, triangular shaped patch, approximately 4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “10,” at its apex. European Theatre, landed at Cherbourg, France in September 1944, Moselle River, Maginot Line, Metz, Moselle, Saar, Ardennes, Bastogne, Saar River, Trier, Rhine River, Kaiserslautern, Mannheim, Neckar River, Heilbronn, Rems River, Fils River, Danube River, Oberammergau, Garmisch – Partenkirchen, and Innsbruck, Austria, occupation in Garmisch. Three campaigns, 124 days in combat, with a loss of over 4,000 men.  Unused. Excellent. $10.00

1AP-10rf. 4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, same description as above except, this example has a variation number "10;" in this case, the "0" is more square than the more common elliptical shape. Unused. Excellent. $12.00
11th Armored Division – The Thunderbolt Division - Golden Yellow Apex
1AP-11mfl. Fully embroidered red, blue and yellow, triangular shaped patch, approx. 4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “11” at its apex. European Theatre of Operation in September 1944, Normandy in December 1944, Lorient Pocket, Ardennes, Meuse River, Bastogne, Battle of the Bulge, Luxembourg, Siegfried Line, Roscheid, Prum River, Neider Bettingen, Rhine river, Saar/Moselle/Rhine Pocket, Worms, Darmstadt, Hanau, Oberhof, Coburg, Bayreuth, Regen River, Linz, Liberated Mauthausen and Gusen concentration camps; occupation in Austria. Three campaigns, 96 days in combat, loosing over 2,800 men killed and wounded. Unused. Excellent. $15.00
11th Armored Division – The Thunderbolt Division - Lemon Yellow Apex
1AP-11aaz. Fully embroidered red, blue and yellow, triangular shaped patch, approx. 3-1/2-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “11” at its apex. A soft and flexible patch that exhibits moderate age, light to moderate wear, as well as light overall soil from actual  use; the backside has a white silky appearance; remnants of original sewing thread still remain. A very nice "salty" example. Used. $12.00
12th Armored Division  - The Hellcats - Golden Yellow Apex
1AP-12ax. Fully embroidered red, blue and golden yellow, triangular shaped patch 4-inch wide x 3-1/2-inch high, depicting a red lightning bolt, superimposed on a black tracked cannon with a black embroidered number, “12,” at its apex. The unit embarked for the European Theatre Operation in 1944, landing in England for additional training and preceded to Le Harve, France in November of 1944. Maginot Line, Rohrbach, Utweiler, Alsace-Ardennes, Colmar Pocket, Vosges Mountains, Ludwigshafen, Rhine River, Speyer, Saar-Palatinate, Worms, Wurzburg, Schweinfurt. They established a bridgehead at Dillingen on the Danbbe River. At Landsberg the 12th Armored Division freed thousands of Allied prisoners of war as it penetrated southern Germany. German National Redoubt, Bavarian Alps, and into Murnau where they freed thousands of Polish officers. The unit crossed the Inn River and went into Austria where they stayed for a short period of occupation. 102 days of combat in three campaigns with a loss of over 3,400 men. Unused. Excellent. $15.00
