Culture Tobacco Box - Empty
culture.JPG (46420 bytes)

3UPI-32. 4-1/4-inch high x 3-inch wide x 3/4-inch deep “Culture” tobacco box. Nearly every WW2 GI used tobacco in some form; they rolled their own, chewed, even those who didn't smoke used tobacco for trade and barter with other GI's and local civilians. Some loose tobacco or a few cigarettes could get you some fresh eggs, butter or milk, which was scarce on the front; tobacco was great for obtaining some good war souvenirs as well.
