Anti-Mussolini - Big Mouth - Ashtray
musoashtray.JPG (56156 bytes) 2USH-16. Approximately 7-inch x 4-3/4-inch, constructed of hard plaster like material. Depicts a derogatory caricature of Mussolini, emphasizing his big mouth and maniacal bulging eyes. The mouth is a cigarette receptacle. The ashtray has been used and the interior of the mouth has remnants of ash. The original paint is at least 80% intact, exhibiting moderate surface scratches and chips from handling and actual use. There is a large chip missing under the nose and the tassel on the hat was once broke off and glued back on. The large chip, almost looks like it is supposed to be there, and the repair is nearly unnoticeable from the front side. Not too bad looking even with it few detractions. Chin is marked, “Pats. Pend. 1943.”  A unique anti-Italian Fascist, anti-Mussolini item. Good.  $25.00 SOLD
