1VNBK-1. First Air Cavalry Division in Vietnam. By world famous
war correspondent Edward Hymoff. First edition, copyright 1967 by M. W.
Lads Publishing Co., New York. 8-3/4-inch
wide x 11-3/4-inch high format, hard covers with illustrated dust jacket
in plastic. 153 pages, black & white, as well as, some full color
photos, illustrations, maps, drawings and historical descriptive text as
written in, Vietnam, by world famous war correspondent Edward Hymoff,
depicting the division in many battles and “search and clear sweeping
operations.” Vivid, official photographs capture the realism, brutality
and the glory of American fighting men in action. The book is complete
with “Honor Roll,” section as well as, a very large “Awards &
Decoration” list. The covers have picked up minor moisture along the
bottom edge; they exhibit overall light signs of storage. The edges of the
dust cover have yellowed from age and some edges are moderately worn from
handling and storage but 99% intact. The binding is tight and intact.
Inside front and back covers and flyleaves are illustrated and have signs
of foxing. Interior pages are near excellent with slight signs of age
yellowing around the edges. Has a musty smell. Original owner has printed
his name on the third page. Overall Vg. Actually quite a scarce and

1VNBK-2. Unit History of the 1st Air Cavalry
Division, Vietnam, August 1965 to December 1969. Printed
in Japan by Nippon Printing Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan. This publication is
an authorized publication of the 1st Cavalry Division
(Airmobile), APO, San Francisco. 10-1/8-inch wide x 12-1/4inch high x
1-1/8-inch thick, oversize format, hard, black, simulated leather covers. Front
cover bears the heavily embossed design of the 1st Cavalry
patch as well as yellow/gold impressed lettering; the spine is impress, in
yellow/gold lettering, “The first Team In Vietnam.” Quite a large book
with 296 pages, hundreds of black & white and full color photos,
drawings, illustrations, maps and historical descriptive text serving as
memorial the gallant 1st Air Cavalry men at war in Vietnam. The
book contains a history of the unit, as well as, photos dealing with
aspects of daily work activities, combat situations, accompanied by
detailed descriptions of combat actions. Each unit is presented with a
full color rendition of their associated distinctive insignia, (DI). The
covers exhibit light age, very minor wear, as well as, edge and corner
bumps from handling and storage. The binding is tight and intact. Inside
front and back covers and flyleaves are illustrated with a combat patrol
scene. Interior pages exhibit light signs of age, minor use, as well as,
slight yellowing on the edges; the first page on the front and back have
signs of brown foxing, that is associated with long periods of storage. A
beautifully and respectfully portrayed pictorial essay of the patriotic
deeds and accomplishments of the 1st Air Cavalry Division

approx. 5-3/4-inch wide x 9-inch high format, paper covers, 182 pages,
many illustrations, charts, graphs and text, referencing the employment of
radio communications equipment under tactical conditions. This FM covers
fundamentals of radio communication, power sources, propagation of radio
waves, radio operation under unusual conditions, jamming, destruction of
radio equipment, etc. There is a fold out world time zone map attached
inside the back cover. Outside covers exhibit very minor age and soil
associated with light handling and shelf storage to moderate signs of

May 1964, approx. 5-3/4-inch wide x 9-inch high format, paper covers, 149
pages, many black & white photos, illustrations, charts, graphs and
text, used in training infantry antitank squads. This FM covers
fundamentals of disassembly and assembly, mechanical function, spare parts
maintenance, ammunition, firing techniques and weapons system adjustment,
crew drill, safety precautions and range procedures, marksmanship, etc.
Outside covers exhibit very minor age and soil associated with shelf

in the Vietnam area. The introduction specifically references
"SF," personnel. A Scarce Vietnam
period piece. Covers exhibit light to moderate spots of soil from

phrases needed by SF, (Special Forces), personnel on a
mission to this language area. The introduction specifically references
"SF," personnel. A Scarce Vietnam period piece. Covers
exhibit light spots of soil from handling. The double flyleaves on the
backside are wrinkled from picking up some light moisture, nothing really
damaged just the last few pages are wrinkled and lightly water stained,
otherwise the pages are excellent. Vg.

work routine, as well as, humanitarian activities. Vivid, official
photographs capture the realism, brutality and the glory of American
fighting men in action. The book is complete with “Honor Roll,” section
as well as, an, “Awards & Decoration,” list. The edges of the dust
cover are moderately worn from handling and storage, one large and some very
small paper chips, a 1-1/2-inch tear on the lower left front; nothing
seriously detracting, still 97% intact. Front and back covers are near
excellent; gold colored EGA is impressed on front cover; interior pages are
excellent. Original owner has obliterated the price on the inside dist
jacket and written 29 December 1969, San Diego, Calif.,” on the front fly
leaf. Overall Vg+. Actually quite a scarce and collectible book. $59.00
