Period Bush Hat With theatre Made Thailand Patch |
|

|
1VH-1.
Thick, theatre made, olive drab cotton bush hat with double cloth
vents on each side; the hat is constructed with an overall classic machine
stitching. Metal snaps secure brim to body of hat one each side. The snaps
have probably been snapped since the war, if un-snapping is necessary; it
should be done with caution. One side of brim has a large, thick; theatre
made patch, with red, white and blue stripes and the word, “Thailand.”
Inside of hat is a copper/gold color and it has a red/brown
oilcloth sweatband. The number “6,” (size) is ink stamped in two
places. The hat exhibits extremely minor age and wear, a little dusty from
storage. Add
this classic, vintage, Vietnam War bush hat to your collection. First
time offered. Vg+. $65.00 SOLD |

“Mitchell” Pattern Reversible
Camouflage Cover
|
|
1VH-4. The
exterior of the steel pot exhibits near approximately 95% or more of its
original Vietnam coarse finish, olive green paint, (not a repaint). The
helmet displays light scratches; rub marks, a little age, as well as, a
moderate dent on the very top center, and another smaller dent, lower and

looking but they are there. The smooth interior retains approximately 98%
original paint. T1 type, olive green cotton chinstraps with ball and clip
release blackened metal are attached to the helmet through a flexible
chinstrap loop, with a metal clip. Metal edging is seamed in the back of

fiber liner exhibits near 100% original paint, (not a repaint). The
interior has medium olive green colored cotton webbing with blackened
metal hardware throughout and comes complete with its olive green, cotton
neckband. No rust; insignificant signs of white powdery deterioration on
some of the metal suspension parts; the owners name is hand written on the
inside of the liner. The leather sweatband is marked and dated 1970, (70),
and exhibits light to moderate signs of age and soil from actual use. The
